"Acllahuasi aims to create adornments based on a study of the historical process of the ancient Andean cultures, which developed a rich apparel, textile art being the most important expression in many of them, achieving perfection in technique, composition and function that gave their various products, which today we can appreciate works of art. Therefore we wanted to build on this millennial event, which is also our heritage, to revive the functional use of the technique of cross-banding, mainly used by the weavers of the Paracas culture (1000 to 200 BC) and Nasca (200 BC to 700 AD), picking up colors and iconography of Andean textiles to create contemporary jewelry to show the beauty and wisdom of pre-Hispanic art and express their potential applicability in our society. "
